As a part of our Friend Partnership, SEESAW has committed to fundraising and supporting The LGBT Foundation, a national charity focusing on providing support in health and wellbeing to LGBTQ+ communities. 'I Will Never Be Finished Removing All These Faces' is an exhibition taking place during the month of Pride to provide space for queer artists to showcase their work and to raise funds to ensure the Foundation can continue their valuable work.
The exhibition will feature work from 13 Manchester and North West based artists, all who identify as LGBTQ+, each exploring in their own way questions surrounding the discovery of self and connection to others, alluding to the idea of the past, present and future all happening at once, and how one’s identity evolves or changes shape over time.
Every exhibited piece has kindly been donated as a part of an art sale and raffle, with all proceeds going to The LGBT Foundation. Raffle tickets can be purchased at any time throughout the month, either online or in person, and raffle winners will be announced after the exhibition has ended.
The opening night will take place on Thursday August 14th 6-9pm in SEESAW's cafe gallery, and is free to enter. The exhibition will then continue to be viewed with the cafe opening hours until September 17th.
SEESAW is an arts and culture venue and workspace located in 86 Princess Street, our aim is to connect with local artists to grow the creative scene in the North West. Our venue is fully wheelchair accessible. If you have any questions around accessibility, please contact Charlotte at hello@seesawspace.com. If you would like any more information on the exhibition, please contact Taome at events@seesawcreate.com.
