Step into Uncharted Territories, an intimate exhibition exploring the ever-shifting landscapes of identity, body, and self-expression; curated by Fruity Frenzy Collective.
Featuring work by Chloé Julia Smith, Rhi Hibbert, and Lulabox, the show invites you to reflect on the intersections of gender, sexuality, and selfhood through painting and drawing. Each artist maps their own terrain of transformation as they explore creating in a way they never have before. From embodied mark making and nostalgic femininity to deconstructed self-portraiture, they have created space for themselves to experiment and embrace fluidity, vulnerability, and the beauty of becoming.
Uncharted Territories is a gentle yet powerful reminder that identity is not fixed, it’s something we continue to navigate, layer by layer. The show launches at SEESAW on Friday November 14th 6-9pm, and will be on display until December 8th.
The opening night takes place in SEESAW's cafe gallery, and is free to enter. The bar will be open for the night, and the venue is fully accessible. Access is via the sliding doors on the cobbled street. The exhibition can then continue to be viewed within the cafe's opening hours, Mon-Fri 8:30am-4pm.
SEESAW is an arts and culture venue and workspace located in 86 Princess Street, our aim is to connect with local artists to grow the creative scene in the North West. If you have any questions around accessibility, please contact Charlotte at hello@seesawspace.com. If you would like any more information on the exhibition, please contact Taome at events@seesawcreate.com.
