Kick off the festive season with a Christmas Pickle & Chutney Workshop, hosted by SEESAW and Ramyum.
In this fun, interactive evening, you’ll learn the art of pickling and preserving - from chopping and seasoning your own fresh pickles, to creating a seasonal chutney and a zingy kimchi. You'll walk away with three festive jars of your creations, perfect to enjoy over the holidays or gift to friends and family!
All ingredients, jars, and equipment are provided. The bar will be open for the night, and the venue is fully accessible. Access is via the sliding doors on the cobbled street. Please arrive 15 minutes early for a prompt start.
Do I need any experience?
Not at all! This workshop is perfect for beginners and food lovers of all levels. Our chef will guide you step by step.
What should I bring?
Just yourself and some festive spirit — everything else will be provided, including aprons, jars, and ingredients.
Will there be drinks available?
The SEESAW bar will be open for service, offering a selection of both alcoholic beverages and soft drinks.
Can I come with friends?
Absolutely! It’s a great festive activity to do together — just make sure everyone books their ticket in advance.
Can I gift this experience?
Yes! You can book a ticket for someone else — it makes a thoughtful Christmas gift.
Will we get to taste what we make?
Yes! You’ll be able to sample as you go and learn how to balance flavours before jarring your creations.
How long will the jars last?
Our chef will share tips on storage and shelf life, so your pickles and chutneys last well into the new year.
SEESAW is an arts and culture venue and workspace located in 86 Princess Street, our aim is to connect with local artists to grow the creative scene in the North West. It is also home to RamYum, a South Korean street food vendor whose menu takes inspiration from the vibrant flavours of Korean cooking, made with their own twist.
