EXLAND explores states of in-betweenness — terrains that are no longer what they were, or perhaps never fully became. Through layered materiality, shifting forms, and spatial interventions, the exhibition reflects on detachment from place, the sediment of histories, and the poetics of dislocation. It unfolds as a landscape suspended between the real and the imagined, tracing a cartography of absence, transition, and transformation.
Presented within the framework of a wider cultural exchange between Greater Manchester (UK) and Schio (Italy). Following Ìnsito (Schio, 2024) and Echoes (Rochdale, 2025), EXLAND embodies a shared commitment to cultural regeneration rooted in textile heritage. The project promotes the reuse of former industrial sites through contemporary art, fostering inclusive programming, cross-border collaboration, and community engagement.
More than an exhibition, EXLAND is part of an evolving cultural bridge between two post-industrial territories, activating creativity, exchange, and shared identity through art and dialogue.
