The ceremony will begin at 6pm when Delbert will play a C natural from his long melody.

It will be followed by a meditation and conversation on the fate of the neighbourhood people and they need to continue to respect and cherish indigenous and intangible traditions around the world.

Refreshments will be served afterwards.

The Long Walk reflects on the period in US history when the US miltary escorted 9,500 (estimated) Navajos to the Bosque Redondo (Fort Sumner, NM) from 1863-68. The duration from the first surrenders on Nov 1st 1863 to the signing of the Treaty of Bosque Redondo on June 1st 1868 was 1,674 days. 

In Delbert Anderson's composition, he has been performing the 50 notes of this composition individually, and each in a different location over the equivalent period of Nov 1st, 2023 to June 1st 2028. We are honoured that Delbert will be sharing this performance, followed by a meditation and discussion with our attendees at Club Inégales.
