Description

emoji

Join acclaimed Scottish guitarist Anna Massie for a focused, practical workshop exploring the techniques and musical approaches that underpin traditional and contemporary folk guitar.

Through guided playing and demonstrations, you’ll build confidence in groove, accompaniment and melodic playing—taking away ideas you can use immediately in sessions, bands and solo settings.

• Right-hand rhythm and feel for Scottish/folk styles

• Chord voicings and creating supportive accompaniments

• Picking out melodies and connecting lead and backing

Suitable for experienced guitarists with an understanding of chords and melody playing in standard tuning who want new tools for accompaniment and tune-playing. 14 years and up (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult - no charge for adults unless also taking part in the workshop).

Please bring: an acoustic guitar, a pick, and a tuner if you use one.
