Six or More Proud Gestures is a solo exhibition of outpourings by Cass Jones. Across six works of expanded sculpture, they move with precision and play through queer ecology, semiotics, collectivity and the archive: kissing possibilities and inviting viewers to enter the work.
Cass Jones is an artist and writer working with themes of queerness, landscape, history and language. Material interests include expanded sculpture, drawing, text and still & moving image, with works often existing as offerings to an audience or traces of actions. These seek to investigate and disrupt ideology-fraught codes and systems of knowledge, playing and queering.
(Rudy Valley's exhibition will now take place on the 19th June)
