We're Safe in Here is a solo exhibition by artist Rudy Valley in SEESAW's Cafe Gallery space.
The transsexual body is on a constant path of evolution and subject to unpredictable landscapes and hostility. Through a collection of prints and sketches, this evolution is mapped out and archived, from blending the present and the future together, touching on world-building and utopias and finding out where trans bodies end up when driven out of society and into new existences.
Rudy Valley is a trans printmaker, illustrator and creative facilitator based in Manchester. He uses printmaking as a vehicle to build and expand queer worlds, and explore and preserve queer archival history.
(This show runs alongside Cass Jones' solo show Six or More Proud Gestures which launches on the 12th June in SEESAW's Foyer Gallery space)
