Enjoy Carols by Candlelight at the Kids for Kids Candlelit Christmas Concert, marking 25 Years of helping Children in Darfur, Sudan. Thursday 3rd December at 7pm, St Peter’s Church in Eaton Square, Belgravia, London.
Dame Joanna Lumley DBE FRGS invites you to join Kids for Kids at this year’s Magical Candlelit Christmas Concert in Belgravia, London! This event is the perfect start to the Christmas Season, and this year is extra festive as we will mark 25 Years of helping children in Darfur, Sudan. Every penny raised in profit from the evening will provide emergency food and aid to children who are waking up hungry every day due to the appalling violence that has been raging for over three years. Your presence at our concert will truly save lives!
The evening will feature the beautiful voices of the Junior and Senior Choirs of Queen’s Gate School singing your favourite Christmas Carols to get you in the holiday spirit! We are delighted to welcome our absolutely fabulous Patron, Dame Joanna Lumley DBE FRGS, who will share a festive reading. Our dear Patrons Lord Cope of Berkeley PC and ITV's Julie Etchingham will join as Guest Readers and we will enjoy gorgeous music from Harpist Les Magee. Our Organist for the evening is former Director of Music of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, Ian Curror. Celebrated English conductor/pianist Stephen Barlow, will accompany soloist Soprano Bibi Heal. And of course what would a Christmas Concert be without Trumpet Fanfare?! Thames Fanfare Brass will raise the roof and entertain us with Christmas classics. Hundreds of candles will fill the Church as we close the evening and enjoy Mulled Wine and Mince Pies (included in your ticket!).
BroadcastsWe look forward to seeing you for the most magical start to the Festive Season! By attending the Kids for Kids Candlelit Christmas Concert with your family and friends you are helping transform the lives of children in remote villages of Darfur living in conditions of shocking deprivation. Clean water is not available. Families drink surface water until it dries, when they then have to walk miles to find a handpump. There is virtually no health care, limited education, and now children face starvation in the ‘worst humanitarian crisis in the world today’ (UN). Children really need our help right now.
Cancellation Policy: Please note we cannot give refunds for event tickets unless the event is cancelled by us.
