Join us at Blooms and Evergreen and craft a one-of-a-kind handmade journal using a vibrant medley of papers and textures.

Join us for a relaxed and inspiring evening of creativity at one of our partner venues. Hosted monthly on Thursday evenings from 7:00pm – 9:15pm at The Vine, Highgate Road (NW5), these workshops are designed to bring people together through the joy of making, whether you come solo, with a friend, or as part of a small group.

In this welcoming, guided session, you’ll be introduced to simplified traditional bookbinding techniques, reimagined in a modern and accessible way. Working with a thoughtfully curated selection of tactile materials, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind handmade journal.

What to expect

Led step-by-step by your friendly tutor, you will:

  • Learn how to assemble your journal using accessible bookbinding techniques
  • Explore a rich mix of materials, from cartridge paper to handmade sheets, fabrics, and patterned papers
  • Create a beautifully balanced, tactile composition that feels both personal and refined

With plenty of hands-on guidance throughout, this session offers a calm, low-pressure environment where you can switch off, connect, and enjoy the process, no prior experience needed.

What’s included

  • All materials and tools provided
  • A curated selection of high-quality papers and textures
  • Step-by-step tuition and support
  • Your own finished handmade journal to take home

Knowledge required

No experience is necessary. This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as anyone who enjoys working with paper and creative materials.

What to bring

Just bring yourself. If you wish, you’re welcome to bring small pieces of paper or imagery you’d like to include in your journal, such as old school reports, wallpaper samples, or favourite magazine cuttings.

You’ll leave with a beautifully crafted, tactile keepsake, perfect for holding sketches, notes, or future ideas, and a renewed sense of creative inspiration.

Pricing

£60 per person.

  • Suitable for ages 18+
